The turnout at the national level has reached 44.38%, while the rate of participation of the national community abroad reached 14%.
The minister said that among 20,673,878 registered on the national territory, the number of voters reached 9,174,492, a rate of 44.38% against 36.51% in 2007.
With regard to the national community abroad, 138,694 voted out of 990,470 registered to vote on electoral lists, a rate of 14%.
Thus, a total electorate of 21,664,348, the number of voters reached 9,313,186, representing a turnout of 42.90%.
The minister added that the turnout exceeded 50% in 19 wilayas, while the highest rate was recorded in the wilaya of Tindouf with 83.15%. All wilayas in the South of the country experienced a turnout that exceeded 60%. Algiers wilaya recorded, meanwhile, a rate of 30.95%, followed by Bejaia and Tizi-Ouzou with respectively 25.11% and 19.84%.
