The parade will travel through the city streets through a journey of 3 km from the Place 16 Nov. to the Jemaa El Fna, with horses, carriages and creations by over 600 artists in tribute to the arts of Morocco and its greatest maâlems.
"We chose the theme of" The Caravan "because it reminds us of the salt route, specified by the Director of Fnap, Mohamed Nait M'Barek. For centuries, this route has symbolized wealth, the exchange and sharing of values of
which Marrakech was one of the most important centers and the most active in North Africa. This parade is an unprecedented opportunity for Moroccans to experience the rediscovery of the history and heritage. "
Furthermore, and to develop educational activities, the parade will include thirteen installations the giant fruit of a collaboration between associations and school students of Sidi Amara, 500 more students in traditional dress will be present at the time of inescapable festival.
The FNAP, organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has, for five days, a program honouring music, crafts and local produce in the Badii Palace and in other places, including the Festival Village.
This is the evolutionary continuity for FNAP, considered the oldest festival in Morocco, and in honor of Moroccan heritage.
